There is something special when it comes to coworking with WorkClub. Since launching back in November 2017, we studied how members are utilising our network of hybrid coworking clubs and meeting rooms. The results are in and it shows that people who use coworking spaces during the week to break up their regular work-week, report higher levels of motivation that approach an average of 6 on a 7-point scale. This is at least two points higher than the average for employees who work from their regular offices, all week, of every week, of every year.

So, what is WorkClub and why is it so beneficial to cowork with us?

WorkClub is a membership-based workspace provider that offers a range of affordable meeting rooms, perfect for interviews, team days or client meetings. Our member pool is diverse, made up of freelancers, remote workers, and other independent professionals all working together in a shared, communal setting.

In comparison to a traditional office setting, our members typically work for a range of different companies, ventures and projects. Coworking alongside other individuals working on different projects also has the potential to make one’s work ethic stronger.

Second, working in a coworking space brings out a culture where it is the norm to help each other out, and there are many opportunities to do so with WorkClub. The growing, diverse community within  our hybrid coworking clubs means that there are a range of unique skills throughout the community.

Lastly, the coworking movement promotes community, collaboration, learning, and sustainability.  So, in many cases, members are not just using WorkClub to work; they’re also members to be part of the social coworking movement.

Many of our members tell us how coworking with WorkClub allows them to have a better work:life balance, as well as more job control. Members can choose whether they want to work in a quiet space by booking one of our many affordable meeting rooms where they can plug in and focus. Alternatively, members can choose a shared space where interaction is encouraged.  

Community is another big part of WorkClub. Members reported that having new faces around them while they work helps with staying productive and motivated. Our community is one of the main reasons why people join WorkClub. Each coworking club has its own vibe, and the venue managers of each space go to great lengths to cultivate a unique experience that meets the needs of our members.

When it comes to cultivating our community at WorkClub, we’re all about the human element. We consider ourselves as much a hospitality company as we do a workspace provider. We make sure that we are constantly facilitating introductions between our members. 

However, socialising isn’t compulsory or forced. Members can choose when and how to interact with others. Members are encouraged to network with others by us offering them incredible deals like 2-4-1 on food and drinks. We provide members with these offers because they are more likely to enjoy networking with a amazing cup of coffee. While our research found that some people interact with fellow coworkers much less than others, they still felt a strong sense of identity with the community. We believe this comes from coworkers knowing there is the potential for interactions when they desire or need them.
