Championing Flexible Work

News May 12, 2020

A campaign run by communications software company, Powwownow, is urging business leaders across the UK to let their employees work more flexibly as part of the Smarter Working Initiative 2018.

The campaign kicks off today, the first day of the school summer holidays.

The campaign was launched in 2016 in an effort to encourage businesses to embrace flexible, smarter working and allow employees to find a positive work-life balance.

Over 250 companies have so far signed up to the initiative, including major UK employers such as RED Driving School and MediaCom. We look forward to hosting some of those in London at their nearest WorkClub workspace.Jason Downes, founder of the Smarter Working Initiative, states --“We’re encouraging employers to really listen to the increasing number of workers wishing they were offered flexible working. It’s not enough that staff are entitled to request flexible working – employers should be actively supporting a smarter working culture within their teams.”

To celebrate, the Smarter Working Initiative has teamed up with PureGym to give all members an exclusive, free PureGym day pass, which can be used between the hours of 12:01am and 11:59pm.

At WorkClub, company goals are aligned with the Smarter Working Initiative. Our enterprise membership is targeting companies that want to change the way their employees work, so that they can improve motivation and morale for their teams.

In the UK alone, many people suffer from a poor work-life balance and we believe that WorkClub can help by providing those employees with a network of drop-in workspaces and meeting rooms. Many of our existing business members have reported that productivity has increased since introducing the WorkClub membership to their employees.

It’s obvious, but when you eliminate stressful situations, work becomes less of a struggle. We believe it is essential that companies offer it’s employees the tools and solutions to become more flexible to ensure good quality of work.

We're calling on all London businesses, no matter how big or small, to make a positive change and sign up to the WorkClub flexible working solution. WorkClub makes remote working more accessible, which also increases productivity and staff morale.
