We sat down with Sam Harney, founder of RIG, to talk more about the gap he is filling within the fitness industry.  

Q: Can you tell me a bit more about RIG?

Q: What sparked the idea to launch RIG?

I came down to London after uni and began to find my workout routine getting really monotonous, doing the same session, day in day out. My mate invited me down to a class and I loved how much I was pushed and the level of coaching I got from the instructor.It was more an experience than a workout.I was soon addicted to these classes but found I was spending a small fortune each month. I wasn’t keen on hooking up to another subscription so I thought how could I make these classes more accessible but put them at a price people can afford…

Q:  Who can use RIG?

Anyone can. Whether you’re just getting into fitness or you’re a seasoned class goer I really recommend tapping in and seeing what’s around you.These classes are designed for people at either end of their fitness journey andI really believe when you go to these sessions they’ll completely change your perception of what a workout is.

Q: What’s your go-to RIG class?

As a guy I love mixing HIIT sessions into my routine so I can stay lean on the build up to Summer. I personally love the Manor studios and their workouts. If you have a Saturday morning free I’d really recommend trying out the Manor SW1 Yard workout.

Q: What’s next for RIG?

We’ve got a few features in the pipeline but the next big thing for RIG is Android so we can satisfy more people.
